"Sisi penawaran, sisi distribusi dan sisi harga akan berubah signifikan. Inflasi bisa saja terjadi," kata dia dalam rilisnya, Rabu (19/2/2014).
Untuk masalah kerugian petani, menurut Anthony, pemerintah daerah melalui Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Daerah (APBD), atau pemerintah pusat melalui Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Nasional (APBN) memiliki kewajiban untuk meringankan beban para petani, dalam hal ini daerah dan pusat harus bekerja sama.
Aktivis pertanian asal Jawa Timur, Panel Barus mengungkapkan, kerugian petani pasca meletusnya gunung dengan ketinggian 1.731 meter meliputi biaya produksi, biaya panen dan biaya pemeliharaan.
"Untuk angka pasti saya belum dapat datanya. Namun, jika dikalkulasikan untuk seluruh Jawa Timur, bisa sampai ratusan juta jumlah kerugiannnya," kata Ketua Nasional Penyelamatan Kretek ini.
Meletusnya Gunung Kelud ini menyisakan cerita duka bagi para petani. Akibat debu tebal yang menutupi area perkebunan, hasil panen petani terancam rusak dan membusuk. Hal ini mengakibatkan para petani akan mengalami kerugian karena gagal panen.
Kuswari, petani di Kecamatan Kepung, Kabupaten Kediri, Jawa Timur mengatakan, lahan pertanian miliknya pada akhir tahun lalu ditanami bibit cabai dan akhri bulan ini waktunya panen.
Namun, Gunung Kelud lebih dulu meletus. Saat ini, harga cabai di pasar sekitar Rp20 ribu per kilogram (kg), jika Gunung Kelud tidak meletus, Kuswari bisa meraup untung hingga ratusan juta rupiah.
Asa petani Kelud untuk mendapatkan untung besar tertunda. Abu vulkanik bahkan menyebar keseluruh penjuru Kabupaten Kediri. Namun, asa baru muncul, karena petani di Kediri meyakini, tanah pertanian mereka akan semakin subur pasca meletusnya kelud.
